You can now change the user information directly from the tree by right-clicking in the tree and selecting the Edit sets > User info set command. You can leave this tab open when saving your template as a reminder to edit them when starting a new project.
6.22 allows you to make an advanced search by using a BOM. You can define the BOM in Tools > Options.
When defining a part you can choose which tab you want to see in a simplified mode. You can define the selection of tabs in Tools > Options > TopSolid'Wood configuration > Define parts > Filters. Changing back to advanced mode can be done before selecting the part you want to define.
TopSolid now reduces the list of possible options as you type the letters of the wanted designation, reference, part type or part category. This functionality is capital sensitive!
6.22 gives you 2 modes and 2 types for rotation in the space.
Division > keep the ouside of the curves: In addition to the existing keep the inside of curves mode, a new keep the outside of curves division mode is available. For more information see what’s new pages 16-17
User machining on sloped face
User machining on a sloped face: When defining a sloped face user machining you now can give a depth to the operation like in a normal user machining.
Texture positioning on a part is better managed. This reduces the visible edges of the texture.
Sketch and curve
For the contours consisting of several curves, you can now serialize the construction of the thickened curve. This new feature allows you, for example, to create elements on these curves. These elements will then follow the changes made to the curves.
From the Entities tree, you can now delete or make invisible several profiles at the same time. To do this, the sketch must be in edit mode. Simply select the different profiles, right-click and select the delete/invert visibility command.
When creating a three-point rectangle, you can now enter a value or parameter instead of giving the third point.
1. Construction coordinate systems: Using the curved component driver command, a coordinate system is created at each end of the curve to stabilize the construction of the component.
2. Construction simplified shape: You now can give a pipe shape a simplfied geometry. This allows you to perform operations on the shape that are not allowed on a curved surface, such as groove or rabbet operations.
3. Positioning: when including a curved component, an arrow now allows you to adjust its direction
It is now possible to make mitre cuts on components with multiple parts.
New improvements have been made for the automatic assembly function placing a kit. It is now possible to change the kit in place by clicking on the blue sphere. In addition to this, TopSolid now can define the start, end and centering face automatically so it can be placed in multiple directions at the same time.
All functions found in the Wood > Other processes menu now have the option to change the start and end face in place by clicking on the green spheres.
Inclusion - distributed component
6.22 allows you to define settings for nesting in the part definition so you don’t have to do this anymore in the nesting definition.
All the settings for the Ardis exports can now be adjusted in the Tools > Options > TopSolid'Wood configuration > Cutting off > Ardis configuration command.
The old command “Index with information” sometimes gave the error message “Different lines with same index” because the index wasn’t unique everywhere.
A new Text with information command is now available. This command has the same behavior as a note with information but, unlike the note, it allows you to put the same text on several different parts or to put different texts with information on the same part.
You can now adjust the type of composite dimensions directly in the document properties as well as in the Tools > Options command.
Topsolid added a button to quickly activate or deactivate the function automatic update of views. Before, you had to do this in de document properties.
When making a nesting label template you now can choose if you want to see the first machining, second machining or drawing as view
Bill of material
Two new BOM properties (Profile cut angle 1 and Profile cut angle 2) allow you to display the cutting angles of the parts. When creating the BOM template, these are available in the TopSolid’Design - Physical properties module.
You can now preview the texture of the material and the coating thanks to the new Matter preview and Coating preview properties. When creating the BOM template, these properties are available in the TopSolid'Design - Material and coating module.
The set of lights has been reduced to display only the component lights.
Multiple selection is possible to turn lights on or off
It’s now possible to enter a designation when defining a light. This designation is available in the Lights definition dialog box of the assembly to easily distinguish several lights.
You can now define presets for image exports. You only have to enter the desired values, then click on the “New”-button to name each preset. The presets become available in a drop-down menu.
In the Visit mode command, the new Height parameter allows you to modify the height of the eye.
Sawing on undercut faces is now automatically performed in multi-machining mode. To carry out this machining operation, you only have to perform a user machining operation on a sloped face in perpendicular mode.
From a multi-machining node, the new Update machining face option allows you to update all the machining faces of the parts in the project that will be machined
A new revision of the Clamex components simplifies the use of it with profit towards automation.
